Integrating Ashby with Cavalry HR (AI Cavalry)

Cavalry HR supports two ways to run AI interviews from Ashby. The assessment itself is the same in both workflows: candidates complete the same AI interview, and your team receives the same evaluation results. The main difference is how the interview is launched and where the results are displayed in Ashby.

You don’t need to overthink this choice — you can start with the workflow that fits your current process best and switch to another setup later if needed.

Assessment workflow
Use this option if you want Cavalry HR to appear as an assessment activity in your Ashby interview plan. At the selected stage, your team will see a “Start Assessment” button. From there, you can send the assessment to the candidate, track their completion status, and view the results once the interview is completed.

Stage-based workflow
Use this option if you want to trigger Cavalry HR through candidate stage movement or manage invitations manually from Cavalry HR. When a candidate is moved to the selected source stage in Ashby, Cavalry HR can send the interview invitation. You can also select candidates from your ATS directly inside Cavalry HR and manually send them an invitation link. Once the interview is completed, the results are added to the candidate’s Notes in Ashby. Candidates who pass the interview can be moved to the selected target stage.
