Integrating Ashby with Cavalry HR

Steps required to seamlessly integrate Ashby with Cavalry HR.

Step 1: Get your API key

Navigate to the admin screen

Click "Integrations" -> API keys

Click "New"

Find Cavalry in the dropdown menu and create API key

Step 2: Activate your integration in Cavalry

Open Cavalry HR and navigate to "Company"

Click "Connect Ashby"

If connected successfully you'll see the sign

Step 3: Connect with job

Create new job

Add a title, job description, customize screening and interview questions and click "create job"

When the job posted you'll be able to connect it to the same job in Ashby

First, select the Source Stage — this is the Ashby stage that triggers Cavalry. When a candidate is moved into this stage, they are automatically imported into Cavalry and receive an interview link.

Next, select the Target Stage — this is the Ashby stage the candidate will be automatically moved to after they complete the Cavalry interview.

After that click "link job"

The integration is now live. You can move candidates to the selected stage, and they’ll automatically receive their interview link.

You can also manually import specific candidates for assessment using the “Import candidates” button.

Step 4: Run Interviews with Cavalry

  1. Move candidates to Cavalry

    Move candidates from your ATS to the stage you selected in the previous step. This action automatically triggers Cavalry.

  2. Candidates complete the interview

    Candidates receive a personalized interview link and complete the AI-led interview on Cavalry. The time to complete this stage depends on the candidate.

  3. Review results in your ATS

    Once the interview is completed, Cavalry generates the results and automatically moves the candidate to the target stage you selected earlier.

    The candidate’s ATS profile is updated with:

    • an overall evaluation score,

    • detailed structured feedback

    • a link to the interview video recording.
